I feel utterly wrung out by this book. But in a good way, you know?
What I love about books told in the first person is that, if done well, the reader gets to know the story teller intimately. You care that
that much more and each tragic and joyful moment is painfully intense. This story of Cam and Nichol is so achingly beautiful you'll feel your heart yanked out your chest and then gently, lovingly placed back again.
The island (almost a character itself)is a vivid setting, the MC's are strong and vulnerable and REAL. The supporting characters are given a depth and poignancy too and I really didn't want to say goodbye to any of them.
A superbly written story.
Highly, highly recommended!
Thank you Harper Fox : )
