I loved the no holds barred intensity of this story- both psychological and emotional, while physically...**coughs**... it had me wincing and gritting my teeth more than few times. The non-stop battle of wits and struggle for power was exhilarating one minute (phwoar!!!!)and exhausting and sad the next. Jonathan and Bran clearly have much to work through before that small glimpse we have at the beginning, the one that shows these two might just be perfect for each other, becomes a HEA reality. I felt that Jonathan might have been a little neglected in this story but perhaps we'll get to see a little more of what makes him tick in the next installment, Awakening. I loved that he doesn't always know the answers, that he can screw up too, and I can't wait to see how, now that they have a chance to try again, he might do things differently.
Although Bran's stubbornness irritated the crap out of me sometimes, his vulnerability and sometimes laugh out loud bravado has me cheering for him to jump off his high horse and be swept up off his feet by his billionaire Dom!Lol ;-P If anyone deserves a happy ever after ending it's Brandon.
